Speech Pathology Services are provided to children presenting with communication difficulties.

Service information

Speech pathology services are provided to children presenting with communication and feeding difficulties. This may include difficulties with:

  • producing speech sounds
  • understanding language/following directions
  • using words and grammar to communicate messages
  • understanding and using communication skills socially
  • stuttering or strained voice
  • difficulties eating, drinking, or swallowing

Children’s speech pathologists work within a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, early educational advisers, dietitians and podiatrists, working together to support families and children’s overall development

Who can access this service?

Speech pathology services are provided to:

  • newborns through to school aged children
  • children experiencing mild to moderate communication or swallowing difficulties
  • children living within the City of Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Shire
