Child Safe is an initiative of the Victorian Government to help keep children safe from abuse and violence. It commits organisations like Peninsula Health to adopt strict policies and procedures to prevent abuse by people in positions of power – including parents, teachers and healthcare workers – and to report any suspected abuse to relevant authorities.
At Peninsula Health, we have a zero tolerance for child abuse. We want all children to feel safe, happy and empowered. We all of the appropriate policies and procedures in place ensure our staff and volunteers are trained in how to detect children at risk, as well as understand the correct procedures to report their concerns.
