Public dental care

Peninsula Health provides access to affordable public dental care though our Community Health services.

Who is eligible for public care:

Newborn children to 12 years of age

• All children can come to the dental program
• Dental care is free if you have a Health Care Card or Pension Card or attend a public school in Victoria
• We bulk bill for Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule

Youth – 13 to 17 years of age

• If you attend a public school you can come to the dental program with no fee.
• If you go to a private or Catholic school, the person must have a Health Care Card or Pension Card or Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule
• We bulk bill for Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule

Adult – 18 years and older

• You must have a Health Care Card or Pension Card
• There may be a small fee for care
• There may be a waiting time for care
