GP referrals are taken according to the guidelines laid out by the State of Victoria.

Mr Paul Gilmore

Mr Paul Gilmore is a specialist urologist.

He completed his medical degrees and training in the United Kingdom and obtained dual Fellowships of both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Mr Gilmore relocated permanently to Melbourne in 2010 and gained his FRACS in 2013. He joined Peninsula Health as a Specialist Urologist in 2013 and became Head of Urology at Peninsula Health in January 2016.

He looks forward to building his practice close to home where he resides permanently with his family.

Mr Anuranda Jayathillake

Mr Jayathillake has been a visiting Urological Surgeon at Frankston Hospital since 2008.

Having graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1996, he moved to New Zealand, and undertook his training in Urology leading to Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).

In 2007/08 he completed fellowships in Urological, Oncology, Laparoscopic and Robotics surgery at University of Miami, USA.

His training enables him to offer a broad range of services in urology including urological laparoscopic surgery.

Mr Chee Wee Cham

Mr Chee Wee Cham has been treating urological patients on the Mornington Peninsula since 1998, both in private practice and public appointments.

Mr Cham graduated from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK in 1981 and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1985. Mr Cham’s Urological training was undertaken in Victoria, as well as Albury/Wodonga Hospitals.

Mr Cham has extensive experience in all facets of Urology surgery with interests including prostate surgery, both benign and cancerous, bladder surgery as well as minimally invasive treatment of renal stones

Mr Benjamin Thomas

Mr Benjamin Thomas is a consultant urological surgeon specialising in urological oncology surgery including robotic surgery and is a senior research fellow in the Department of Surgery, University of Melbourne.

Benjamin completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Melbourne followed by surgical and urological training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Benjamin completed robotic and urological oncology fellowships at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge (United Kingdom) and the Karolinksa Institute, Stockholm (Sweden). Benjamin has postgraduate research and management degrees and qualifications from the University of Cambridge and Harvard University.

Benjamin was a substantive consultant urological surgeon in Cambridge working as the lead surgeon for robotic surgery development in Cambridge and was previously Chair of the Urology Cancer Specialist Multidisciplinary Team in Cambridge. Benjamin is currently co-chair of the VCCC Penile and Testicular Cancer Forum and Multidisciplinary Team.

Mr James Sewell

Mr. James Sewell is a specialist Urological Surgeon who specialises in management of cancers of the urinary tract (kidneys, bladder, prostate, testes) and complex kidney stones, as well as performing general urological procedures including management of problems with urination (such as those related to enlarged prostate).

He holds a medical degree from the University of Melbourne and holds a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Urology.

He takes a compassionate approach to patient management, utilising the latest surgical techniques to ensure optimal care is provided.

Mr Niall Corcoran

Professor Niall Corcoran PhD FRACS (Urol) is a urologist and translational researcher based in Melbourne.

He is currently Head of Urology at Western Health, and a VMO urologist at Royal Melbourne and Frankston Hospitals where his main clinical focus is the management of prostate and bladder cancer.

He is a principal research fellow in the University of Melbourne Centre for Cancer Research, where his group investigates mechanisms of progression in early prostate cancer, prognostic biomarkers and novel neoadjuvant treatment strategies.

He is also the Research and Education lead in GU Oncology at the VCCC Alliance.

Mr Phil Dundee

Mr Phil Dundee graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2000 with degrees in Science and Medicine & Surgery. He undertook his surgical training in Melbourne, after which he travelled to the UK and spent a year training with one of the worlds most experienced laparoscopic surgeons. Phil was the appointed Consultant at the prestigious Guy’s and St Thomas’ in London, where he undertook training in robotic surgery. Since returning to Melbourne at the end of 2012, Phil has established himself as a high volume robotic and laparoscopic specialist and performs around 150 of these cases each year.
