We provide a seven day a week service between the hours of 8:30am to 10:30pm to people in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Areas experiencing significant distress or mental health concerns. We can see you in your home or at one of our community clinics sites across Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.
Our team is made up of experienced medical, allied health, lived experience mental health professionals and wellbeing workers who will work with you and your support network to promote safety and commence comprehensive mental health care.
Our CATT typically works with people short term to address immediate safety concerns and acute mental health concerns. At the conclusion of your care with our CATT we will work with you and your support network to connect with appropriate ongoing services.
Who we care for
You can access this service if you live in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Areas and are between the ages of 16 and 64. Our CATT responds to requests for help from:
- Mental Health Telephone Triage
- Peninsula Health Mental Health & Wellbeing Service Inpatient settings to support comprehensive care on discharge from hospital
- Police and Ambulance when responding to an emergency where mental health concerns are raised
- our Adult Community Mental Health Teams when additional support is needed
Peninsula Health Mental Health and Wellbeing Service have a specialist community crisis mental health team for people aged 65 and older (APICAT) that can be accessed by Mental Health Telephone Triage.

How to access this service
If you are not a current consumer of Peninsula Health Mental Health & Wellbeing Service please contact Mental Health Telephone Triage to access CATT. You can self-refer to this service or referrals can come from your family, carers, supporters and other health professionals involved in your care. If we are not in the best position to help you we can assist you access external services.
If you are currently a consumer of Peninsula Health Mental Health Service your care team can refer you to CATT for additional support.
