Peninsula Regional Assessment Service (RAS)

Peninsula Health is the provider of regional assessment services within the Frankston local government area, known as the Peninsula Regional Assessment Service (RAS).

The Peninsula Regional Assessment Service (RAS) is auspiced under Peninsula Health to provide entry level assessment services for people 65 years and older or 50 years and older for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The RAS assessment is for older people with low level care needs. It is undertaken by a trained Home Support Assessor who will refer clients to appropriate services under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). This program enables older Australians to remain safely and independently in their home for as long as possible.

Which locations are covered?

Peninsula RAS covers the Frankston LGA: Frankston North, Frankston South, Langwarrin, Carrum Downs, Sandhurst, Seaford and Skye.

How to refer

To determine if you need a RAS Assessment, you will need to contact the My Aged Care contact centre on 1800 200 422.  My Aged Care will discuss what your care needs are and determine if you are eligible for a RAS assessment.
