General Practice Liaison Unit

The GP Liaison Unit aims to help improve communication between Peninsula Health and local General Practitioners to enhance patient care and service access.

The Unit is staffed on Tuesday and Wednesday. The best way to contact us is by email. If you would like us to call you, email us with your phone number and we can call you back.

We communicate regularly with GPs and GP practices via newsletters. If you are not receiving these and would like to, please email Danielle Rule to add your email to the private mailing list – drule@phcn.vic.gov.au.

Let us know if your email or your practice manager email address changes so we can keep in contact with you.

Are your details correct?

Peninsula Health uses GP details in the National Health Service Directory (NHSD) or Provider Connect Australia (PCA) for electronic communication with GPs including the sending of discharge summaries. NHSD and PCA are both government supported and funded.

GPs and Practices are strongly encouraged to keep their details up to date in either NHSD or PCA by adding the details of new GPs working at a clinic and removing the details of GPs who no longer work at a clinic.

To update your service on the NHSD, please visit Healthdirect’s Service Finder and find your service to review the details listed.

PCA allows GPs and practices to see and update their own details by going to the link above.
