- In 2023, 17 families from Peninsula Health said yes to organ and tissue donation, providing lifesaving transplants to 20 organ recipients and helped many more people through the gift of eye and tissue donation.
- For some patients who die in Intensive Care, they are in a unique position where they may be able to become organ and tissue donors
- One organ donor could save the lives of up to 7 people and transform the lives of many more people through tissue donation

Danielle Griffiths
Donation Specialist Nursing Coordinator
Danielle has worked for DonateLife since 2013, initially based in Sydney in the role of Donor Coordinator and Education Coordinator for the NSW Organ and Tissue Donation Service. Relocating to Victoria in 2022, Danielle has continued to work with DonateLife initially at Monash Health and now at Peninsula Health in the role as Donation Specialist Nursing Coordinator.
Danielle enjoys the diversity of the Donation Specialist Nursing Coordinator role including supporting families through the donation journey and working collaboratively with the ICU and the wider hospital network to coordinate organ and tissue donation.
