Community Dental concessions and benefits

Peninsula Health’s Community Dental service makes world-class dental care accessible and affordable to all members of the community.

Who pays for dental care?

Peninsula Health public dental care charge fees to:

  • people aged 18 years and over who hold a health care or pensioner concession card, or who are dependants of concession card holders
  • children aged 0-12 years who do not hold a health care or pensioner concession card, and who are not dependants of concession card holders.

Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Australian Government has introduced the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).

This entitles children aged up to 17 years to $1,026 of general dental care over two calendar years.

Our services are bulk-billed so you won’t have any out of pocket costs.
