We also treat benign diseases of the colon such as diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel disease. We also treat diseases of the anus such as haemorrhoids, anal fissure and perianal infections.

Mr Eric Torey
Mr Eric Torey first worked at Frankston Hospital as an Intern in 1990. Since then he has trained locally and overseas as a General and Colorectal surgeon and have been on staff at Peninsula Healthcare Network since 2001.
Eric has raised his family on the Mornington Peninsula and provides all hours surgical support for private and public patients.
Eric enjoy teaching registrars, junior doctors and medical students as part of his role at Peninsula Health.
Other than the major colorectal operations, anorectal conditions and endoscopy Eric also manages all manner of hernias, gallstone disease, vasectomies, toenails, carpal tunnel issues and skin conditions.
Mr Mikhail Fisher
Mikhail Fisher is a general surgeon with a special interest in laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery.
Mikhail graduated from Flinders University, Adelaide in 1998. He trained in all aspects of General Surgery at Monash Health, Peninsula Health and Royal Hobart hospitals. Mikhail was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2008.
Following further post-fellowship training in Laparoscopic and Colorectal surgery at Dandenong Hospital, Mikhail became a member of the Casey Surgical Group in 2010.
Mikhail’s special interest is in laparoscopic surgery for hernias, colon and gallbladder disease.
Mikhail has a strong commitment to the south-eastern suburbs, operating at Peninsula Health.
Mikhail is also actively involved in under – and postgraduate teaching and training, clinical research and regularly participates in national and international meetings.
Mikhail is fluent in Russian.
Mr Vladimir Bolshinsky
Mr Vladimir Bolshinsky is an experienced, affable and highly skilled colorectal surgeon, who’s aim is to provide his patients with personable and reputable care. He is a co-director of Surgical Health Specialists.
Vladimir grew up in Melbourne and completed his medical degree at Monash University in 2006, followed by the Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy at The University of Melbourne in 2009. He undertook General Surgical training in Victoria and was awarded a Fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2014. Vladimir has also completed a Master of Surgery (MS) though the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in 2020.
Vladimir completed four additional years of subspecialty clinical training in colorectal surgery. He was employed by the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio (USA), as a Colorectal Fellow in 2017 and subsequently as a colorectal staff surgeon between 2018 and 2019. The colorectal department of the Cleveland Clinic is one of the world’s largest referral centres for advanced colorectal pathology and the exposure gained during that period provided Vladimir with an opportunity to become a leader in his field.
Vladimir is a strong proponent of lifelong learning and has thus far authored seven book chapters and multiple peer reviewed journal articles. He is an associate editor for the international journal ‘Diseases of the Colon & Rectum’ and also serves on the Clinical Practice Guidelines committee for the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS).
