Children’s Psychology

Our psychologists can work with you and your child to answer any questions or concerns you may have in your child’s development.

Areas of development

Psychologists may assist children and their families where concerns exist around:

  • Difficulty interacting with others
  • Anxiety in social situations
  • Behaviour that is difficult to control

Who can access this service?

The children’s services psychology service is available to children who are presenting with developmental delays. Children can be seen between the ages of 12 months and school entry.

This service is available at Frankston, Hastings, and Rosebud Community Health.

If the child is only presenting with behavioural difficulties, Peninsula Health Counselling services can also be accessed.

How do I access this service?

Access to the service is by referral from a clinician within the children’s services team.
