People experiencing persistent pain due to injury, health condition, or no apparent reason are able to find help through Peninsula Health.
Services
The Integrated Pain Service has two components.
Once your referral has been received, you will be directed to either the:
- Persistent Pain Management Service
- Pain Medicine Clinic
Integrated Pain Service
Assessment by a Pain Specialist/Medical Doctor to:
- review your diagnosis
- optimise medication management
- advise on medical procedural treatment
Involvement with allied health for:
- assessment
- individual programs
- group programs
Allied health intervention through the Persistent Pain Management Service aims to reduce the impact of persistent pain by focusing on behaviour change. We provide strategies to help you manage your pain and increase your function. We do not offer hands-on treatment such as massage.
