Peninsula Health’s Intensive Care Unit is located on Level 2 of Frankston Hospital.
Visiting Hours
- We encourage visiting between 10-8pm. This is to ensure adequate patient rest occurs. Two visitors are permitted at the bed space at a time.
- Visiting is generally restricted to immediate family members only. Children are welcome to visit but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- If you have any questions or concerns while visiting please speak to the bedside nurse looking after your relative.
Ward Rounds
- Medical rounds occur twice per day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Family members are welcome to stay on most occasions.
Patient Enquiries
- Medical information can only be provided to a patient’s next of kin (NOK) or their nominated representative(s). The doctors can be reached outside of the ward rounds anytime of day by phone if required.
Patient belongings
- Bring in toiletries, dentures, glasses and hearing aids (if required)
- Do not bring valuables or money
- Bring in the patient’s medications or a list of current medications, if possible
