For an appointment, you need a referral from your GP, another specialist, or your current doctor.
Services Provided:
- Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment by medical, nursing, and allied health professionals
- Ongoing management of chronic and complex conditions in collaboration with community providers
- Diagnostic services such as pathology and imaging
- Before and after in-hospital care
Referral Process
Submit Referral: Your GP, specialist, or doctor must complete the referral
Referral Review: The Peninsula Health team reviews the referral to determine urgency
- Urgent: We will contact you via text or phone to arrange an appointment
- Routine: You will receive an SMS confirming your waitlist status, and we will contact you when an appointment is available
Referral Outcome
- Accepted: We proceed with scheduling based on urgency
- Declined: We will contact you or your referring GP if there is missing information, or we suggest referring to other health services
Note: Specialist Outpatient Clinics are not an emergency service. If your condition worsens, see your GP. Your GP will determine if you require an earlier appointment, and they can send a new referral with additional information.
