Specialist Outpatient Clinic Waitlist: What to Expect
We regularly contact patients on our waitlist to:
- Confirm you contact details
- Ensure you still need specialist care
- Provide urgent care if needed
You will receive separate communications for each specialty if you are on multiple waitlists.
Health Concerns? Contact your referring doctor if you need to escalate your referral.
How We Contact You
Text Message/SMS from Peninsula Health via “VicKey” if you are on the:
- New waiting list for a consultation
- Review waiting list for follow up in the clinic

Step 1: You will need login in by using the secure link to access the message. This helps keep your personal information safe.
Step 2: You will need to verify your identity to respond by using your surname and date of birth dd/mm/yyyy and submit
Step3: Your Response, ‘Yes’ to stay on the list or ‘No’ to be removed.
- Yes: We will notify you when an appointment is available
- No: You will be removed from the waitlist. A new referral is needed for future appointments.
No Reply?
If No response, we will call to follow up in 7 days.
If still no response, we will try alternative contacts, including your GP and then we will send a removed from waitlist letter.
