Health Promotion

Promoting a healthier lifestyle for residents living in Frankston and on Mornington Peninsula.

The health promotion team help make healthy options easy in the places where people live, learn, work and play. The team enables people to increase control over and improve their own health, while placing a strong focus on improving the health and wellbeing of the whole population rather than individuals.

The Health Promotion Team help keep our community healthy and well by supporting the following places in providing healthy environments:

  • early learning services
  • primary and secondary schools
  • sporting clubs and leisure centres
  • workplaces
  • local neighbourhoods

We work with many local places/businesses on the following health priorities:

  • healthy eating
  • active living
  • smoke free
  • inclusion with a focus on the LGBTIQ+ and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • climate change and health
  • mental health and wellbeing
