General information
The program includes:
- A combination of online self-directed learning modules, face-to-face workshops, skills stations, high-fidelity simulation, and case studies
- Annual leave, study leave, exam leave, professional development (PD) leave
- Postgraduate study days at Peninsula Health
- LEAP days (a great opportunity to work in a variety of clinical areas based on clinical interests/assessment requirements)
- Support from NUM/ANUM,, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Support Nurse and Clinical Educators in cardiac care.
- Participation in a combined critical care study day to provide additional learning opportunities and to work collaboratively within the critical care environment
- Participation in cardiac-specific in-services to provide additional learning specific to cardiac care
- All formal assessments and hurdles (set by the university) are completed by the cardiac education team
- Use of Microsoft Teams for efficient communication
University partnerships
Monash University and Deakin University both offer a Master of Advanced Clinical Nursing (cardiac) with the option to exit the course at the Graduate Certificate level.
