Simulation Centre

Training our workforce to provide world-class care.

The Simulation Centre provides a supportive, learner-centred environment, where participants can progress their knowledge, skills and expertise to achieve their learning goals. Education is geared towards the delivery of exceptional person-centred care that is safe, personal, effective and connected, along with eliminating avoidable harm.

Enhancing a healthcare culture where patients remain at the centre of care and individual preferences are respected, we are proud and grateful to include in educational sessions members of the Consumer Simulated Patient (CSP) program.

CSP’s are volunteers that bring the consumer voice and perspective to healthcare training. We utilise a variety of simulation methodologies, including manikins, part-task trainers or simulated patients.  Incorporated into the simulated experience are debriefings that focus on enhancing teamwork, effective communication, decision making and situational awareness, along with technical skills.
