Designed to offer learners the opportunity to further develop and consolidate their clinical skills, our Medical/ Surgical Acute Nursing Postgraduate Program provides a refresh of current knowledge across multiple areas of acute medical and surgical nursing care.

General Information
The program includes:
- Commitment to work a minimum of 0.6 EFT
- Study options of on-campus or multi-model at the Monash University, Clayton campus is available
- Minimum of 12 months experience within an acute medical/surgical setting
- Choice of working hours including full time (including ADO) or part time employment of 8 or 9 days per fortnight
- Supernumerary time on commencement
- Annual leave
- Study & Exam Leave
- LEAP days (a great opportunity to work in a variety of clinical areas based on clinical interest/assessments)
- Access to library and resources (extensive Learning Hub resources)
- Advancing personal knowledge and skills

Support
We support our postgraduates’ development through a team of excellent educators and support services:
- Clinical Nurse Educators
- Clinical Support Nurses available seven days per week
- Senior support from NUM/ANUM’s and Clinical Nurse Specialists
- Clinical Nurse Consultants
Areas available for rotation
The program is designed to provide a variety of rotations to consolidate your nursing skills. Rotations will take place at Peninsula Health sites, Frankston and Rosebud Hospital.
Rotations throughout the year are carefully structured by the Medical/Surgical Acute education team to ensure the most is gained from your postgraduate program.
