About the Simulation Centre
The Sim Centre offers an extensive range of educational opportunities for medical, nursing and allied health professionals. Set-up to mimic various hospital settings, according to need, it enables the simulated learning to be as real as possible.
Computerised human (adult, baby and birthing) simulators provide participants the opportunity for hands-on training in emergency situations. Skills like insertion of intravenous catheters, endotracheal and chest tube insertion, administration of medication and other common procedures are performed on these highly sophisticated manikins.
Incorporated into the simulated experience are team training debriefings that focus on team work, effective communication, decision making and situational awareness.
