Students will be given the opportunity to observe and learn about the range of career pathways in health by applying through our Work Experience Program.
Who can apply for work experience placements?
- Year 10, 11, or 12 students at a Victorian secondary school enrolled in the work experience program.
- Students seeking a placement between September and October 2024 (some blackout dates may apply, and we cannot support work experience during school holidays).
- Students interested in pursuing a career in health.
- Students currently studying relevant subjects to support entry into tertiary study.
Departments that may offer work experience placements:
- Allied Health (i.e., Physiotherapy, Allied Health Assistants, Occupational Therapy)
- Administration
- Human Resources
- Corporate Services
- Pharmacy
- Nursing
- Midwifery
Students accepted into the program are invited to spend a maximum of one week (five consecutive working days) within an available department to observe the daily activities that occur.

Please note:
- Peninsula Health is currently only accepting applications for placements between September and October 2024 (some blackout dates apply, and we are unable to support work experience during school holidays).
- Applications will only be accepted via the above link during the intake period and no late applications will be accepted. The closing date for applications is 29 July 2024.
- Due to the high number of applications received, we cannot offer work experience to all students who apply.
- Evidence of immunisations and COVID Vaccination (2/3 doses) is required as per current Chief Health Officer orders.
- Work Experience Program may be subject to change or cancelled at late notice.
