Celebrating our volunteers: National Volunteer Week (May 18-24)

On Friday 22 May 2026, we celebrated our valued volunteers at the annual Volunteer Luncheon.

Every Volunteer and Consumer Advisor plays a vital role in helping us deliver compassionate, high-quality care to our community. Their dedication, insight and generosity of spirit strengthen our organisation every single day.

National Volunteer Week is a meaningful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible individuals who give their time so generously. Through their commitment, they help create a stronger, more responsive health service, driving positive and lasting change for the people we serve.

We extend a special congratulations to those recognised for a service milestone, including the following people:

Laraine Cottrell, who has dedicated her time to both the Rosebud Hospital Kiosk and Rosebud Hospital Emergency Department over the past 30 years.

Lynne Emery, for 25 years with the Pinkies Auxiliary at Frankston Hospital, now Peninsula University Hospital.

Dilys Yap, for providing 20 years of Assistance and Care to patients and families in the Rosebud Hospital Emergency Department.

Richard Ivice, Judith Halyszyn, and Margaret Hill, who are all celebrating 15 years of service.

Congratulations and thank you again for making our health service what it is.
