Today we celebrate Allied Health Professions Day, and the incredible team of skilled, caring and dedicated allied health staff we have here at Peninsula Health.
Allied Health Professions Day was first held in England in 2018 and is now a worldwide event held annually on 14 October, celebrating and bringing together the allied health professional community.
This year’s theme ‘Stronger together’, highlights the benefits of multidisciplinary team-based care.
“Across all of our Allied health professions, whether it’s a big profession or a small profession, a big team team or a small team, each and every one of you is important and has a unique part to play in caring for our community,” says Chief Allied Health Officer/Director of Allied Health Kirsten Caspers.
“Today we honour the roles of each and every one of you, and the importance of allied health in improving the lives of our consumers, their carers and their families.”
