Our trial offering has grown by 25 per cent compared to the last financial year.
Bayside Health Peninsula provides care across the entire lifespan at five major hospital sites: Peninsula University Hospital, Frankston Public Surgical Centre, Rosebud Hospital, Golf Links Road Rehabilitation Centre, and the Mornington Centre; five community mental health facilities; and four community health centres in Frankston, Mornington, Rosebud, and Hastings. We also have a growing community-based program, supporting people to have accessible, high-quality care close to where they live.
Our clinical trials expertise
We have:
- Experienced Principal Investigators and Clinical Trial Coordinators in many specialities/services
- Capacity to undertake trials from Phase 1b through to Phase IV
- Credentialled clinical trial pharmacy
- A Research Governance Officer with a focus on short turnaround times for site authorisation and CTRA and CDA review
- Onsite services/equipment including:
- Extensive radiology services
- Pathology services provided by Dorevitch
- -80 Freezer
- New and expanded Chemotherapy Unit opening in 2026.
- The Ngarnga Centre – A joint Bayside Health Peninsula & Monash University Research and Academic Centre with a clinical research facility consisting of three clinical research rooms where participants may be seen for assessment, including specimen collection with centrifuge, -20 freezer and height and weight measurement facilities
- The National Centre for Healthy Ageing (NCHA), a partnership between Bayside Health Peninsula and Monash University is Australia’s leading healthy ageing research centre is based at Bayside Health Peninsula’s Peninsula University Hospital Campus.
Highlights
Over the last four years;
- We have been the highest recruiting Australian site for three international studies – a breast cancer, an advanced renal cell carcinoma trial, and genitourinary
- We have been the first global site to screen a patient for an endometrial cancer trial, and the only Victorian hospital to offer this trial.
