On Friday 20 June, Mornington Park Primary School came alive with the sound of blenders and the buzz of excitement as the Student Health Ambassadors hosted a nutritious smoothie making morning for the whole school community.
The event was a vibrant celebration of nutritious food, teamwork, and student voice in action. As part of the school’s ongoing commitment to health and wellbeing through the Healthy Schools Achievement Program, students took the lead in planning, preparing, and delivering the event, supported by Peninsula Health.
More than 80 delicious smoothies were made and shared, packed with fresh fruit and care. Principal Kath Lord praised the students’ efforts, saying, “This was a wonderful opportunity for our student leaders. They worked so hard to plan the event which was a huge success.”
The smoothie morning was a delicious way to start the day and helped to promote the school breakfast club, which offers nutritious food to students and supports learning and concentration.
Congratulations to the student leaders at Mornington Park Primary School.
