Elisabeth Murdoch College has successfully completed the Vic Kids Eat Well (VKEW) School Breakfast Club bite.
The school runs a School Breakfast Club which is a free, opt in, program for all Victoria government schools and is delivered through Foodbank Victoria. Twice week students are offered fruit smoothies, toasties, fresh fruit and vegetables, baked beans, milk-based drinks, wholemeal toast and cereals to fuel them for their day.
Through the nutritious offerings at their school breakfast club, Elisabeth Murdoch College achieved the VKEW actions of ‘fuel up with wholegrains,’ ’fuel the fun with low sugar cereals,’ ‘boost breakfast for strong bones,’ ‘provide healthier drinks,’ ‘colour breakfast with fruit’ and ‘colour breakfast with vegetables.’
Elisabeth Murdoch College were able to claim a reward for each action they completed. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Elisabeth Murdoch College and seeing what they choose to work on next.
