Stage 2 of the redevelopment of Peninsula University Hospital has now started. For most of 2026, construction will impact the path of travel between the East Entrance and the Main Entrance, now in Building T.
If you are attending the Intensive Care Unit or Western Port Ward in Building A, the closest entry point is via the new Main Entrance due to the construction works. The closest car park is P1, accessed via Gate 1 on Yuille Street.
The Pink Ladies cafe at the East Entrance will remain open during the Stage 2 construction phase, so please continue to support our dedicated volunteers by purchasing refreshments here. Any funds raised through the Pink Ladies cafe are donated back to the hospital to improve patient care.
When entering the hospital from Wednesday 28 January 2026, please follow the below instructions to travel between the East Entrance and Main Entrance.
East Entrance to Building T (Main Entrance Atrium)
- From the East Entrance, turn right towards Pathology/ Infusion Centre
- Follow Yellow Line and Signs to Building T
- Take the Building G lift or Stairs to Level 1
- Continue along the Yellow Line through two long corridors
- Pass the staff-only lifts and follow the sign : “Public Lifts, Building T”
- Turn right into the Main Entrance Atrium and use the Building T Public Lifts (to call a lift – tap the screen located at the lift entry and select your destination floor)
- Need Help? Reception located in the Main Entrance Atrium.
Find your Way – Building T (Main entrance) to East Entrance
- From the Main Entrance go to the Public Lifts and turn right (you will pass the vending machines)
- Go through the door past the vending machines and past the staff only lifts
- Follow the Yellow Line and Signs to East Entrance or Emergency Building A-G
- Take the lift or stairs to Level 3
- Follow the Yellow Line and the Signs to go through Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy
- Follow the Yellow Line and the Signs to go past Pathology and Pre-Admissions and get to the East Entrance Exit
