The whirr and buzz of blenders could be heard at Mornington Park Primary on Friday 9 October as eager students queued patiently for a delicious banana smoothie to start their school day.
With special thanks to the Rotary Club of Mornington who kindly donated four blenders. Parent volunteers made delicious smoothies, helping young students start their day feeling positive, ready to learn and full!
“With the addition of a tiny bit of honey and cocoa to our banana smoothies, they fly out the door!” says Kathleen Lord, School Principal at Mornington Park Primary. She goes on to describe that their Student Health Ambassadors have played a key role in promoting the breakfast smoothies to their peers. The Ambassadors also helped to set up and clean up too.
Congratulations to Mornington Park Primary and a big thank you to the Rotary Club of Mornington for this wonderful community partnership.
