Bayside Health Peninsula is proud to announce its recognition at Parliament House in Canberra for its exceptional efforts in reducing the country’s rate of preterm births.
As one of the 60 healthcare services nationwide participating in the National Pre-term Birth Collaborative, Bayside Health Peninsula’s Chief Operating Officer, Helen Cooper, and our dedicated maternity services team had the honour of attending Parliament House on Tuesday 19 March.
They participated in discussions and celebrations surrounding the preliminary data, which demonstrates a promising decrease in near-term births (37-38 weeks’ gestation).
“This recognition underscores the dedication and hard work of our staff who have tirelessly addressed the challenges associated with preterm births,” says Helen Cooper, Chief Operating Officer at Bayside Health Peninsula.
“Their innovative approaches, collaborative efforts, and evidence-based practices have significantly impacted the health and wellbeing of mothers and babies in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region.”
