About Frankston Hospital
Frankston Hospital is the major provider of acute secondary and tertiary hospital services on the Mornington Peninsula. With 454 beds, it provides general and specialty medical and surgical services, mental health, maternity, and paediatric services.
In its role as a major teaching centre, the hospital has affiliations with Monash University and Deakin University and links with other universities in postgraduate studies. During your stay with us it is possible some of your day-to-day care will be undertaken by doctors in-training, under supervision of senior medical staff. Some of your care and treatment may also be undertaken by nursing or allied health students under supervision.

The ward is strictly closed to ALL visitors between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm
Women have the option to express a ‘No Visitors’ request at any time during their stay
It is therefore advisable for visitors to ensure access will be allowed prior to arrival.
Visiting during ward closure is by pre-arrangement only.
Children visiting the ward are to be supervised at all times and should not be left unattended by partners or visitors
Partners and visitors who are unwell should refrain from accessing the ward to avoid the spread of possible infectious illness to mothers and babies.
To ensure patient comfort a maximum of 4 visitors at any one time is advised.
