Faces of Peninsula Health: Sally Geurts

Sally is one of the passionate nursing graduates undertaking the Enrolled Nurse Graduate Program at Peninsula Health.

Completing her nursing placements at Peninsula Health, Sally commenced the Enrolled Nurse Graduate Program in October 2023 as a mature aged student. She has since had rotations at Frankston and Rosebud Hospital.

“Nursing has always been a career that I wanted to peruse,” says Sally.

“The graduate program has been beneficial in the fact that you are able to experience working on different wards and departments within the hospital.”

“It gives you such good insight into the role you feel would be best suited to you as a nurse.”

“I am proud that I have been able to prove to myself that goals can be achieved and that your age should never hold you back.”

Sally says Peninsula Health’s long standing reputation for graduate support and education made it an easy decision to apply and further her career in nursing.

“It can be very daunting when first starting out, so having that ongoing support and guidance from Peninsula Health educators has helped myself and the other graduates tremendously,” says Sally. “It really makes the transition from student to nurse less bumpy.”

“Each shift brings new challenges and many new experiences, providing a number of avenues and opportunities to keep evolving and learning at Peninsula Health. I continue to learn every day.”

“It takes courage to become who you really are, so embrace how far you’ve come and how far you can go!”

If you’re looking to take yourself to the next level, information sessions for Peninsula Health’s 2025 graduate programs are being held throughout April and May, offering the perfect opportunity to learn more. Bookings can be made via Eventbrite.
