Dr Krystle Chong, Peninsula Health Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar and Researcher, has recently co-authored a groundbreaking primer on ectopic pregnancy for Nature Reviews Disease Primers, alongside Professor Ben Mol and an international cohort of academics and healthcare professionals from the UK, Europe, and Africa.
Nature Reviews Disease Primers is part of the prestigious Nature portfolio of journals, known for its high impact factor, aimed at clinicians, researchers, students, academic scientists.
“The review provides a comprehensive overview of ectopic pregnancy, covering its background, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, investigations, management, and outlook,” says Dr Chong.
“It also highlights areas for further study and incorporates perspectives from low- and middle-income countries, as well as individuals with lived experience of ectopic pregnancy.”
