Looking for a meaningful way to celebrate your baby’s birth?
Steffie Conroy honoured her sons, Callan, born in 2022, and Cormac, born in 2024, by making their names, birth years, and birth months a lasting part of the community through the Rotary Peninsula 2.0’s Birth Tree and Family Garden initiative.
“The birth tree and garden will forever serve as an anchor for our children, reminding them of where they were born, no matter where life takes them. Their names will always be engraved on a plaque, a permanent link to the place where they were born and raised,” explains Steffie.
Her decision to participate in the initiative, while also creating a memento for her sons, was driven by her desire to give back to Frankston Hospital. All funds raised by the initiative go towards improving Maternity Services and providing vital equipment for mothers and babies.
“It’s reassuring to know where your money is going, supporting the place where your child was born and cared for. The funds going back to the place where their life began feels incredibly rewarding,” says Steffie.
