William has been giving back to Peninsula University Hospital since 2019 as a way of thanking the staff that have looked after him.
A budding gardener, William finds enjoyment in growing his own fruit and vegetables and spending time outdoors in his aviary attending to his canaries.
“After my triple by-pass, the cardiology team at Peninsula University Hospital have really looked after me, and helped me get back to enjoying my hobbies,” says William.
The connection with Peninsula University Hospital goes beyond being a patient and giving back as a donor, with William’s son working on the redevelopment site of the new Peninsula University Hospital. “My son works on the cranes, and I often visit him on site which makes my appointments even more enjoyable,” says William.
