Recently a celebration was held at our Community Care Units for their 30 year anniversary.
The event was attended by Chief Operating Officer Kate Andrews, along with representatives from the office of Paul Edbrooke MP, past and present CCU staff, residents, their families, and staff from across Bayside Health Peninsula. A Welcome to Country was provided by one of the residents, along with speeches from Nurse Unit Manager Helen Waite and Kate Andrews.
Rapid Relief Team (RRT) provided a fantastic BBQ lunch, and the magnificent cake was made by nurse Kellie Mannion.
Activities also included burying a time capsule and the official opening of the CCU’s Sensory garden.
Congratulations to everyone who has been part of the CCU’s story over the past 30 years.
