This week the final Bayside Health Peninsula Board Meeting was held at the site of the new Peninsula University Hospital, which will open early next year. On 1 January 2026, Bayside Health Peninsula will merge with Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service and Kooweerup Regional Health Service to form Bayside Health, which will care for more than 1.2 million Victorians.
We would like to acknowledge all our Board Directors for their leadership and thank them for their service to the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula community. We would especially like to thank and farewell our outgoing Board Directors, Rita Cincotta, Professor Mark Frydenberg AM, Sylvia Hadjiantoniou, and Dr Tony Kambourakis.
We look forward to continuing to work with the directors who will be part of the new Bayside Health Board – Karen Corry, Kirsten Mander, Peter Joyce and the new Chair, the Hon Martin Foley – as we continue to provide the very best of care for local people across the expanded catchment region.
