About Rosebud Hospital

The Rosebud Hospital is at the heart of the Rosebud Health Hub – a new health initiative for the people on the Southern end of the Mornington Peninsula.

The Rosebud Health Hub provides a comprehensive range of Healthcare services from the Rosebud Hospital site, including Community Health, Mental Health, Allied Health and Dental Health services.

Rosebud Hospital has 30 acute and 30 subacute beds, four surgical beds serving one operating theatre, nine Renal Dialysis chairs, three Cardiac Monitored beds, four Chemotherapy chairs and an Emergency Department with nine cubicles and a fast track area.

Situated 80kms from Melbourne’s CBD, the hospital provides care and treatment for both admitted and out patients.

Rosebud Hospital provides services for more than 130,000 residents on the Southern Peninsula. The population swells dramatically during the holiday periods, with the peak summer period attracting in excess of 100,000 people to the Peninsula.

Visiting Hours

Rosebud Hospital offers patient-centred care and family members are welcome to visit at any time that is suitable for the patient.

Patients may have appointments during the day (8:30am-4:00pm) for diagnostic tests or therapy assessments.  Family members are encouraged to discuss with the team their participation in these procedures.  It is advisable that all visitors enquire at the Nurses’ Desk upon arrival as patients may be away from their bed for tests or may have had a bed move.

Note that Hillview Rehabilitation Ward has ‘protected meal times’, and visitors are not generally allowed in the dining room.
