COVID-19 Vaccination

Peninsula Health is providing the COVID-19 vaccination to people who meet the Federal Government’s eligibility criteria, as part of the national coronavirus vaccination rollout plan.

We are currently providing the COVID-19 vaccination to:

+ People aged 60 and over. These people will receive the AstraZeneca vaccine.

+ People aged 16-59 will be able to receive the Pfizer vaccine. (From Wednesday 25 August) 
 
+ People aged 18-59 will be able to receive either Pfizer or AstraZeneca. 

Vaccinations are available by appointment only.

Please click here for the vaccine eligibility checker, to ensure you are eligible before booking at one of our clinics. Please be aware that our staff are only able to provide you with the vaccine you are eligible for, as per the Australian Government guidelines. 

To avoid delays and ensure we are able to vaccinate you on the day, we highly recommend booking an appointment before attending any of our clinics.

To make an appointment:

We have vaccination clinics in Frankston and Rosebud. You will be notified which clinic to attend at the time of booking. 

Getting the vaccination

Please remember to bring your Medicare card on the day of your vaccination.

If you are bringing children (aged 5 years or younger) with you to your appointment, you must also bring another support person with you to the appointment.

Please note that due to physical distancing requirements and the size of the vaccination clinics, please only bring 1 support person with you to the appointment. 

Free parking is available at all clinic locations for people receiving the COVID-19 vaccination. You will be given an exit pass by a staff member after your vaccination.

The vaccination clinics are open plan with minimal private cubicals. Please wear a short sleeve shirt or t-shirt that allows easy access to the upper arm.

Frankston Community Vaccination Hub – Bayside Centre 

Level 1, Balmoral Building, Shannon Mall, Bayside Shopping Centre

Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday – 9.30am-5pm.

Open Thursday, Friday – 11.30am-7pm.

Vaccinations are by appointment only. 

Free parking is available for people getting vaccinated. Our staff will give you an exit pass to use as you leave. Please park in one of the Bayside Centre car parks. The closest parking is the undercover car park which can be accessed via Olsen Street St (off Beach St) or Balmoral St (off Young St).

If you had a booking at John Madder Hall and Theatre 10 

+ All existing vaccination bookings for John Madder Hall and Theatre 10 at Frankston Hospital have been moved to Bayside Centre. 

+ If you had a booking between 0730-0930 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and 0730-1130 Thursday and Friday you can arrive at the new hub anytime on the day of your original appointment within the hub’s operating hours.

+ Operating hours for the Frankston Community Vaccination Hub are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 0930-1700 and Thursday, Friday 1130-1900.

Peninsula Health – Point Nepean Road COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic (AstraZeneca) 

Suite 5 – 1533 Point Nepean Road Capel Sound. Open 9am-4pm, Monday – Friday. 

Walk-in capacity is available, however bookings are encouraged to ensure we are able to accommodate you on the day. Walk in appointments are limited and we will be prioritising healthcare, aged care, and ambulance workers for walk in appointments. General public may be turned away to prioritise the above groups.
