About the Cancer Rehabilitation Program

The cancer rehabilitation program is for cancer survivors who wish to improve their quality of life by gaining confidence with exercise, managing fatigue, improving nutrition and managing stress so they can get on with living.

Who can use the service?

Cancer survivors who have finished active treatment within the last month, up until 2 years following treatment.

What’s involved?

The groups run twice a week, for 2 hours each session for six weeks. The groups combine supervised exercises, education and discussion sessions, with self-

management support in a group setting. A home exercise program is provided for all participants.

Cost

$6.40 per session

What do I need to bring?    

Past medical history, a current medication list, and tell the clinician anything that may impact on exercising

Closed shoes and comfortable clothing to exercise in
