Allied Health

Who are we?

Peninsula Health employs allied health professionals and assistants in many professions and programs across the health service. Allied health professionals and assistants work in multidisciplinary teams with nursing and medical professionals to provide safe, personal, effective and connected care for Peninsula Health consumers.

Allied health professionals, along with allied health assistants are essential in supporting our consumers to restore and maintain optimal physical, sensory, psychological, cognitive, social and cultural function.

Allied health also has a dynamic research team who are contributing to new knowledge and evidence-based practice within allied health.

Where are we?

​​​​​​​Allied health services are available for inpatients in our acute hospitals at Rosebud and Frankston and in our and subacute hospitals at Golf Links Road, The Mornington Centre and Rosebud.

Outpatient allied health services are provided at Frankston Hospital and through our community health services, community rehabilitation services, specialist ambulatory clinics and mental health services. Allied health services may also be delivered in your home.

For our aged care residential clients, we have allied health services within our Transition Care Program and at our Carinya residential aged care facility.
