Peninsula Health is required to report the following information under the terms of the Safe Patient Care (Nurse to Patient and Midwife to Patient Ratios) Act 2015
- Peninsula Health Maternity Service has nine birth suites and five assessment rooms available to be occupied.
- During the period of 1st September 2019-29 February 2020 – we had 1509 birth rooms occupied which equates to approximately nine per day and 1835 presentations to our assessment rooms.
- During the period of 1st March 2020-31st August 2020 – we had 1464 birth rooms occupied which equates to approximately eight per day and 1688 presentations to our assessment rooms.
- During the period of 1st September 2020 – 28th February 2021 we had 1490 birth rooms occupied which equates to approximately eight to nine per day and 1897 presentations to our assessment rooms.
- During the period of 1st March 2021 – 31st August 2021 we had 1544 birth rooms occupied which equates to approximately eight per day and 2313 presentations to our assessment rooms which equates to approximately 13 per day.
