Peninsula Health is required to report the following information under the terms of the Safe Patient Care (Nurse to Patient and Midwife to Patient Ratios) Act 2015.
- Peninsula Health Maternity Service has nine birth suites and five assessment rooms available to be occupied.
- During the period 01/09/21 – 28/02/22 we had 1,390 birth rooms occupied which equates to approximately eight per day and 1,926 presentations to our assessment rooms which is approximately 11 per day.
- During the period of 01/03/22 – 31/08/22 we had 1,383 birth rooms occupied which equates to approximately eight per day and 1,990 presentations to our assessment rooms which is approximately 11 per day.
- During the period of 01/09/22 – 28/02/23 –We had 1,249 birth rooms occupied which equates to approximately seven per day and 1,926 presentations to our assessment rooms which is approximately 11 per day.
- During the period of 01/03/23 – 31/08/23 –We had 1,222 birth rooms occupied which equates to approximately seven per day and 2,026 presentations to our assessment rooms which is approximately 11 per day.
