Yesterday, in celebration of Palliative Care Week, the exceptional team from the Palliative Care Unit at Golf Links Road hosted an afternoon tea, to express gratitude to all those who have generously supported the unit throughout the past year. Additionally, the team unveiled their latest initiative: the release of a staff fundraiser recipe book.
The recipe book was curated to honour all those who have graciously shared homemade treats with the team over the years. It features a patchwork of culinary delights from around the globe, each recipe infused with personal meaning and significance, with all proceeds going towards enhancing patient care in the Palliative Care Unit.
“The theme of this Palliative Care Week is ‘Matters of life and death,’ it focuses on how remaining life is nourished with love, care, and compassion by our palliative care team, which I believe is encompassed by this book,” says Director of Medical Services, Dr Sandeep Bhagat.
