Janine Davies, Director of Nursing Mental Health and Wellbeing Service at Peninsula Health.
We are delighted to congratulate Janine Davies on her appointment to Adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University.
Janine has been a key leader in our Mental Health and Wellbeing Service for the past six years, and is currently on a 12 month secondment at Safer Care Victoria in the role of Senior Mental Health Nurse Advisor to Victoria’s Chief Mental Health Nurse, Anna Love.
As Adjunct Associate Professor, Janine will continue to contribute and strive to improve mental health service delivery for people living in our community by advising on mental health nursing curriculum content and continue to engage in research and publications within the fields of mental health and wellbeing and nursing.
“This appointment is a testament to the support and encouragement I have received from my career leaders, peers, colleagues, and family who have supported and believed in me for which I am hugely grateful,” says Janine.
“People’s mental health really does matter. I look forward to continuing to promote and advocate for everyone’s mental health and wellbeing and make a difference in people’s lives. This is why I love my chosen career and couldn’t do anything else. It’s the making a difference that keeps me doing what I love to do.”
“We have really embedded the importance of clinical supervision into our growing nursing workforce within mental health at Peninsula Health.”
“I would love to share our learnings with the novice workforce deliveries at Monash University, so that all nurses can understand the importance of being engaged in clinical supervision.”
“The wellbeing of our nursing workforce is so important and clinical supervision can make a vital contribution in continuing to support, foster and promote personal and professional growth.”
We look forward to seeing Janine take on this significant role, as she strives towards a mental health and wellbeing service that is thriving for all members of our community.
