To celebrate the Rosebud Hospital Auxiliary’s more than half a centenary of giving, the passionate group came together one last time to present a final cheque.
The hospital has been a beneficiary of the auxiliary’s dedicated work since the 1960s.
This year the group has announced it is disbanding, presenting a final cheque – symbolising the more than $200,000 donated in the past two decades – with every cent going towards the purchase of much needed hospital equipment.
Outgoing President Rona Cannon says every current and past member is proud of the difference the auxiliary made.
“We have had so much fun,” says Rona.
“There have been so many fundraising activities, and we have enjoyedevery minute of it. We have hosted mini expos, street stalls, numerous raffles, gift wrapping at the local shopping and sausage sizzles.”
“While friendships continue within the group, the decision was made to officially disband the auxiliary due to membership decline over the last few years.”

Rosebud Hospital Operations Director Jodi Foley thanked the group for their tireless commitment.
“The auxiliary have been absolutely fantastic in supporting the hospital, not just in raising money to buy equipment we need but also securing the donation of equipment,” says Jodi.
“I know our staff and patients are very grateful and the community here as a whole, I know will miss their presence.”
Thank you to the Rosebud Hospital Auxiliary.
