Our GP Liaison Unit is staffed by a GP and a nurse on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The most reliable way to contact us is via e-mail. Telephone messages may take longer to respond to.  Our main aim is to help improve communication between Peninsula Health and local GPs in relation to patient care and service access. We communicate regularly with you or your practice manager via email with;

  • GP NEWS

This short newsletter is GP focussed and contains important information about Peninsula Health services. It is sent quarterly at least and more frequently if needed.

  • FAST FACTS

These emails are sent when an urgent service change or alert occurs. They are brief and contain information on a few issues only.

Are Your Details Correct?

Let us know if  your email or your practice manager email address changes so the GPLU can keep in contact with you.

Peninsula Health uses the National Human Services Directory (NHSD) to send outpatient and discharge letters to GPs/GP Clinics.  If your service is not listed in NHSD please register with them.

The NHSD is a government supported comprehensive listing of health and social services including GPs, private specialists, hospitals and allied health practitioners. GPs and general public can use the directory to search for services according to area or service type.

The consumer face of the NHSD is linked to the Better Health Channel website.
