Monash at Peninsula (MAP) Programs

What are the MAP programs?

The MAP Programs are partnerships between Monash University and Peninsula Health, designed for either undergraduate nursing students or undergraduate midwifery/nursing students. Students can apply for entry into their nominated MAP Program during their 1st year and if accepted, will complete all acute 2nd and 3rd year placements at Peninsula Health.

Benefits of the MAP Programs

 Recruitment into one of our MAP Programs provides the following benefits:

  • Completion of all 2nd & 3rd year (and 4th year for the  midwifery/nursing MAP Program) acute clinical placements with Peninsula Health providing you with consistency in your placements
  • Access to dedicated MAP Clinical Facilitators who are contactable March to Dec each year, to coordinate your placement experience
  • Familiarity and stability with your placements, as you get to know Peninsula Health and your Clinical Facilitator/Facilitator Team
  • The Clinical Facilitator/s get to know you as an individual and how you learn best, allowing them to ensure you have the best possible placement experience
  • The convenience of having Frankston Hospital just minutes from the Monash University Peninsula Campus.

How to Enrol

Enrolments are only accepted from Monash University students during the allocated application period each year. 

Applications are generally opened in August each year for those currently in 1st year. Contact your Monash University Clinical School to enrol and take advantage of this exciting opportunity.
