More than 700 members of our community currently complement the care and treatment of patients and clients across all sites of our public health service by volunteering their time. Peninsula Health actively encourages community engagement.
There are many ways to get involved with a variety of roles in our Volunteer and Consumer Engagement Programs.
- Volunteer Engagement – Volunteers support our organisation in many ways and can be found helping out in wards, kiosks, emergency departments, activity rooms, reception areas, in the community and participating in fundraising activities. Find out more about our volunteer roles
- Consumer Engagement – Representing patient, consumer, carer and community views on how we provide our services through participating in our Consumer Engagement Program which includes: Community Advisory Groups, Committees, Working Groups and directly in our wards. Find out more about consumer advisor roles
- Community Advisory Committee – is an advisory committee to the Peninsula Health Board of Directors. Community Members bring the voice of consumers, carers and community perspectives into strategic decision making around planning, design, delivery and evaluation of Peninsula Health services.
For Year 10 -12 students, Peninsula Health has a Work Experience Program which offers students the opportunity to observe and learn about the range of career pathways in Health. For information on how to apply for work experience please contact our People and Culture Department on 9784 2700 or email hr@phcn.vic.gov.au.
