Peninsula Health offers Graduate Programs for Registered Nurse, Registered Midwifes and Enrolled Nurses.
Peninsula health is registered with the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) and follows the PMCV guidelines and code of conduct in processing and selection of Registered Nurses and Midwifes. Application for PMCV eligible candidates is a two step process that requires application to PMCV and Peninsula Health.
Peninsula Health will not be conducting interviews of PMCV candidates who provide a video interview. All non-PMCV candidates and Enrolled Nurses will attend an online interview.
‘Meet the team dates’ will be advertised between 27 May and 2 June to provide you with the opportunity to meet our educators, ask questions and tour Peninsula Health.
Steps to complete your application
Step 1 – Register (PMCV candidates only)
- Register with the Victorian Allocation and Placement Service
- Select Peninsula Health as one of your preferences
- Peninsula Health offer the following streams: General, Midwifery, Mental Health, Mental Health/General combined. Please select the correct stream(s) when choosing your preferences.
- Each stream must be selected separately as a preference
- You may select either one or both of the January/February or June/August intake
- If you select both the January/February or June/August intake intake this will be two of your preferences
Step 2 – Prepare your documents (PMCV and non-PMCV applicants)
The following documents are required for your application:

Include the following: ● PMCV Number ● Specific stream for your application ● Outline why you have selected Peninsula Health for your graduate program ● Select at least one Peninsula Health value and state how you will meet this |
Resume/CV | Maximum three (3) pages. Include the following: ● Education qualifications in reverse chronological order (most recent at top), including start and end date ● Clinical Placements, list in reverse chronological order ● Include healthcare facility, dates and type of placement eg: Acute, rehab, surgery ● Employment history and relevant voluntary work in reverse chronological order include start and end dates |
References | Include name, organisation, role, date of placement, email and phone number. Two clinical referees with a minimum of one working as a clinical supervisor from a student placement, such as: ● Nurse/midwife unit manager ● Clinical nurse/midwife consultant ● Clinical facilitator ● CSN/CSM ● Clinical preceptor Only if you cannot supply a 2nd referee form a student placement can you nominate a Nurse/Midwife manager or educator or clinical supervisor when you are a RUON/RUSOM |
Summative and/or final clinical reports | Two recent reports from two different placements. |
Academic transcript | Provide the most recent academic transcript. This must include the education provider, your name and course enrolled. |
Step 3 – Apply through Peninsula Health careers portal
Applications for our Registered Nurse Graduate Program open 27 May for both PMCV and non-PMCV candidates. Applications for our Enrolled Nurse Graduate Programs will be open August 2024.

- Search graduate nurse program and select your desired stream. If you are applying for more than one stream at Peninsula Health, you will need to apply for both streams on People Hub.

- Upload the following supporting documents
- Resume/CV
- Cover letter
- Other documents – Academic transcript and two x recent clinical reports scanned as one document.
Step 4 – Interview
Interviews will not be conducted for our PMCV graduate applicants for all streams. Applications will be reviewed in regards to documents provided, references and the PMCV video.
Non-PMCV Register nurse and Enrolled nurse applicants will be required to attend an online interview.
Step 5 – PMCV Round One match results
PMCV round one match results will be published on 4 September from 10am by PMCV.
All candidates will be notified by email from PMCV.
You have 48 hrs to accept your allocation from 4 September to 10 am 6 September.
We will contact all candidates matched to Peninsula health on 6 September.
Step 6 – PMCV Late vacancy stage
From 6 September all non-PMCV applicants will be notified of the result of their application.
If vacant positions are available in the RN Graduate program these will be available on PMCV and readvertised.
