Frankston Hospital

Midwifery

Labour Ward
by arrangements with registered nurse in charge

Post Natal
2.30pm - 8pm All other visitors
Partners only until 9.00pm
Strictly no visiting between 12pm - 2.30pm

Paediatric Ward

8.00am - 1.00pm Immediate family
2.30pm - 7.00pm General visiting
1pm - 2.30pm Rest period strictly no visitors

Coronary Care Unit (Wards 5FS & SU5)

10am - 12 noon
4pm - 8pm
A strict rest period between 1.30pm and 3.30pm

Flowers – one bowl of flowers per patient only.
Sweets and food – please check with registered nurse in charge.

General Wards, Surgical Unit 2 & Short Stay Unit

2.30pm - 8pm

Psychiatric Services

2 West & 1 West A
4pm - 5.30pm Monday to Friday
6.30pm - 8.30pm
10am - 8pm Weekends and public holidays.

Intensive Care Unit

11am - 12noon
2pm - 8pm

Other times at the discretion of the Registered Nurse in charge.
Rest period 12pm - 2pm

Observation Ward

11.00am - 8.00pm

The Mornington Centre

The Mornington Centre offers patient-centred care and family members are welcome to visit at any time. Patients who are in Rehabilitation or Evaluation and Management usually attend therapy during the day (8.30am - 3.30pm). Family members are encouraged to discuss with the team their participation in the therapy program.  This should be done prior to attending during therapy times.

Rehabilitation Units (Golf Links Road and Rosebud)

Family members are welcome to visit any time up until 8.30pm. Patients who are in Rehabilitation or Evaluation and Management attend therapy during the day (8.30am - 3.30pm). 

Family members are encouraged to discuss with the team their participation in the therapy program.  This should be done prior to attending during therapy times.

Rosebud Hospital

General Wards

2.00 pm - 8.00 pm

Midwifery

2.00 pm - 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm - 8.00 pm
Open visiting hours for partners and children of midwifery patients only – except rest time between 1.00 pm - 2.00 pm

Please observe these times, which are designed to give patients the rest and treatment required.

OUTPATIENT SERVICE

Hours of operation: Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 4.00pm
Referrals: Most surgical and medical patients are referred to the clinics by their specialists, general practitioners or upon discharge from the hospital. However, some services can be accessed directly by the client such as our range of antenatal services and the Sexual Health Clinic.
